Packaging That Earns 5-Star Reviews: A Guide for Small Brands
Packaging is the first thing your customer touches. Here is how to make it protect, impress and turn into better reviews, on a small budget.
Review Mark Team ·

Before a customer sees your product, they see your packaging. Good packaging protects the product, makes the brand feel professional and often gets mentioned in reviews.
Protect first
- Use a box or a padded mailer that fits the product snugly.
- Wrap fragile items in bubble wrap; fill gaps so nothing moves.
- Use a plastic inner bag for clothes during the monsoon.
- Seal properly so the parcel cannot be opened without it showing.
Then make it feel special
- A simple sticker with your logo on the outside.
- Tissue paper or a fabric bag for sarees and clothing.
- A handwritten or printed thank-you note.
- A small card with care instructions, your return policy and your review link.
Keep the cost low
You do not need custom printed boxes. Plain boxes with a logo sticker, a stamp or a branded tape look neat and cost little. Buy packaging in bulk and keep a standard size for your most common products.
Packaging and reviews
Customers who receive a neat, well-protected parcel are more likely to leave a positive review, and more likely to share an unboxing photo or video. Packaging is one of the ten areas Review Mark checks for product brands.

Frequently asked questions
Is eco-friendly packaging worth it?
Paper and reusable fabric bags are increasingly appreciated by customers, and often cost about the same as plastic.
Should I include my review link in the parcel?
Yes. A small card with a QR code to your Google or Review Mark page is a simple way to get more reviews.
