How Review Mark Assesses Brands
Customer reviews, test purchases, service checks and seven clear criteria — here is exactly how Review Mark assesses a brand.
Review Mark Team ·

Review Mark is an independent platform that helps customers find better brands and helps businesses improve. To do that fairly, every brand is assessed in the same way, using evidence rather than opinions. Here is how it works.
Two sources of evidence
A brand’s picture on Review Mark comes from two places:
- Customer reviews – written by real customers on the brand’s Review Mark page. Every review is checked by our team before it is published.
- The Review Mark assessment – our team’s independent review of how the brand actually performs.
The seven areas we assess
- Product or service quality
- Packaging and delivery
- Customer service
- Public reputation
- Honesty and transparency
- Complaint handling
- Brand professionalism
Each area is scored from 1 to 5. One excellent area cannot make up for a poor one, because customers experience the whole brand.
How we gather evidence
- Reading public reviews and ratings on Google, Facebook, marketplaces and Review Mark.
- Making test purchases to see the product, packaging and delivery as a real customer would.
- Contacting customer service with real questions.
- Checking prices, product information and policies.
- Reviewing information and documents the brand shares with us.
Independence
Ratings, certificates and awards cannot be bought. Using Review Mark services such as audits or improvement packages never changes a score. Fake or paid reviews are removed.
What happens next
Brands that meet the Excellence Criteria receive the Brand Excellence Certificate with a unique, verifiable Certificate ID. Brands that do not qualify receive feedback on what to improve and can apply again later.
Assessment is not a one-time event. We keep listening to customers, and a certificate can be reviewed or withdrawn if standards slip.
