Ethically made handcrafted products – a BRAC social enterprise
Aarong is a Bangladeshi lifestyle retail brand founded by BRAC in 1978, when its first shop opened on Mirpur Road in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. The name means “village fair”.
It sells handcrafted clothing, home décor, jewellery, leather goods and gifts made by rural artisans across Bangladesh, many of them women, and works to give them fair income and steady work.
Aarong runs outlets in major cities across the country and an online store, together with its sister brands Taaga, Taaga Man, Herstory and Aarong Earth.
